TAYLOR CATRETT, OWNER

Creed-Strength-Fitness-Taylor-Catrett

With over 10 years of coaching/training experience after working in multiple gyms, training centers and 2 1/2 years of internships in college strength and conditioning facilities, Taylor Catrett opened Creed Strength & Fitness in January 2019 to be able to help more people be stronger for life and to train athletes with the proper equipment.

Taylor Catrett grew up an active child, playing multiple sports through high school. During his time playing sports, he learned the importance of proper preparation for competition. Taking his love of sports, he went on to play football for two years in junior college. This experience heightened his drive to be strong and athletic. After two years of college, he joined the US Army and served for 4 ½ years. During his service, his love for fitness and being physically fit and ready for diverse situations became a priority. During his service, he was put in charge of the fitness of other soldiers.

After his service, he studied Kinesiology at San Jose State, earning his Bachelor of Science in December 2012. The accumulation of sports and the military life gave birth to the love of training and helping others be the best that they can be. He continued his education in graduate school at Sacramento State, studying Kinesiology with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning. For the two years of grad school, he was a graduate intern at the strength and conditioning facility at Sac State, helping coach the athletes.

Taylor is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Level I Sports Performance United States Weightlifting Certified Coach, holding the following degrees and certifications:

  • Masters In Kinesiology: Strength & Conditioning
  • Bachelor of Kinesiology: Fitness and Exercise Specialist
  • Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (NSCA)
  • Level I Sports Performance, United States Weightlifting Certified Coach
  • Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM)

"I believe that training the body is the key to health maintenance and prolonged quality of life. Everyone can benefit from proper exercise progression, no matter their current condition.
